How to Build a Travel App?

Howdy Folks!

I have been traveling to different countries for the last 10 years, and now, I am seriously considering launching my travel application. In this application, I am not only going to share my experiences and touring tips, but I also want to include navigational features in it.

As a beginner, I don't have much budget to build and deploy this application. So, I am considering hiring a small team that can use React and other JS technologies to build this application with Back4app. Yes, I found a better guide here https://blog.back4app.com/how-to-make-a-geolocation-app/ about building an app. I noticed this platform also allows you to get help from Google Maps, which is a great advantage.

Withal, a few of my dev team members are suggesting going with a custom development option to get more control over the app. All in all, I am confused and want to know which option I should pick.

Furthermore, if you are already running a travel app, then share your experiences. Also, what features do you want to see in a new traveling app?
